Beans used to be the mascot of a tourist trap shop.
They lived a good life, entertaining customers and getting wild amounts of attention.
They really liked the human that owned the store too, an old man who didn't have much family left, so he considered the cat his family.
He enjoyed telling wild stories to customers about supposed supernatural sightings.
Then one day the human left.
Usually he would come back with some new project to wow customers, but this time was different.
This time he did not come back.
Beans waited, and waited.
And they kept waiting.
Until some new humans came to the store.
Beans was happy.
They missed the customers.
The new humans took the furniture from inside the store.
They didn't even pay!
Beans tried to stop them.
The humans took Beans.
They dropped them off at a shelter.
Beans finally understood what had happened.
Their friend was gone.
They were sad and alone.
They wished to be able to hear the human's tales again.
And then one day, they woke up in a strange place, surrounded by others like them.
And in this new place, a lot of the human's stories were real.
And there were others who told tales of fantastical beings.
Now, Beans shares the human's stories, keeping his legacy alive.
