So while making a spread sheet of my not-cat’s relationships. I saw one of my cats was still friends with a cat I had traded away.

That got me thinking. Do they keep ALL relationships when traded? Including higher tiers like Best Friends & Partners?

And if they do, does having a partner owned by someone else And being set to only 1 partner keep them from gaining a new partner in their new home?

Can they have kits with their partner still?

And is there a way to wipe relationships without needing the scribe to craft it? Since they’re owned by different people?

All relationships are kept, even partners. Both partners need to be in the same village to have beans. I'm not actually sure what happens when you try and use a Catmint Tea (presumably it fails).

By having a partner and being set to limit 1 partner, they shouldn't be getting the prompt for more partners, whether the partner is in your village or not.

Only the Scribe item can wipe relationships!

The cats also need to be in the same village for the Scribe items to work!

cats do not need to be in the same village to use a letter of new beginnings to reset a relationship to acquaintances. they do need to be in the same village to use any scribe item that adds a relationship.
