Hello! I've made a small server for pixel cats - please reply to this thread or PM one of the mods listed below if you're interested in an invite

The server is on a one-invite per person basis as the forums are public. Because of this, we may not be around to hand out invites all of the time - but please know that we will get around to sending yours. :3c




Rules and Information

❗ This is not an official server for Pixel Cat's End!
We are not affiliated with the game in any capacity. All of Pixel Cat's End's Community Guidelines will be followed.

❕ This server is kept to one-invite only per PCE guidelines.
If you're interested in inviting anyone, please reply in the thread or PM a mod on-site. You can also ping an active mod here!

❕ Actions taken by the mod team are up to our discretion. Mods have the right to warn or remove people for behaviour not covered by the rules.

💬 We ask that all conversations in the server be in English. This allows moderators to easily moderate discussions within the server, and means that conversation is accessible. If you would like to chat with a member in another language we ask that you take it to DMs.

🐾 You must have a valid Pixel Cat's End account to join this server. Anyone with a suspended or banned account will be kicked, but you are free to rejoin if you make a new valid account within the PCE rules.
Please inform mods if you are a returning player. Failure in doing so may result in a kick or ban.

🐾 This server utilizes ModMail. This is a bot that allows for easy and private contact to our mod team.


Please abide with the following DON'Ts:
All rules have a precedent; if we have banned something it's for good reason.

This server runs on a case-by-case system, and breaking these rules will lead to a warning, strike, kick, or ban. Should you have an issue with another member, please bring it up with a mod.

🚫 1. Post or chat about 18+ or NSFW content
🚫 2. Bring in drama offsite, try to start any, or egg it on
🚫 3. Be disrespectful of someone's gender, identity, or pronouns, or throw out slurs or derogatory terms

Not only is this against PCE's Discrimination & Hatred guidelines, the Not-Discord is ran and modded by queer and POC individuals. Nothing of this sort will be tolerated, and breaking this rule will result in a kick and/or ban.

🚫 4. Vent and discuss certain sensitive issues (i.e, real-life politics, religion, or similar)
🚫 5. Do anything unsolicited/without consent, such as:

• Post Discord invite links to other servers
  
• DM-ing/sending a friend request to another member
  
• Sharing another person’s art
  
• Sharing another person’s cat
  
• Making a sales offer to another member unless they explicitly state it's for sale
  
• Adding someone to a pinglist
  
• Testing genes and stats of other people’s cats, unless asked to.
  
• Testing for practice or private usage is fine, but if you want to share the results, ask the cat's owner before you test a cat.

🚫 6. Bother the on-site staff/helpers in the server

They're here to have fun just like you! You can address any issues or concerns through Pixel Cat's End. You will be striked if a staff/helper lets us know that they received unsolicited messages about PCE-related issues.

🚫 7. Beg for items, or asking people for free items if they haven't offered

This goes against PCE's Begging & Unwanted Solicitation guidelines.

Additionally, do not pile on if someone is giving things to one person.
Gifting is very common in this server and while the Not-Discord community loves to give, it makes it easy to take advantage of players. One person gifting to another does not mean that the giver is giving things to everyone.

Not everyone is open to receiving gifts, either!
You can find gifting roles below - Gifting Allowed for those who accept gifts, and Don't Gift for those who don't. If a person doesn't have either, you must ask if they'd like a gift.

🚫 8. Take advantage of another user's generosity or lack of knowledge

This goes against PCE's Bad-Faith Trading & Scamming guidelines. Make sure that you are negotiating fair trades/sales with newbies, so be truthful about the rarity of items or cats.

🚫 9. Post heavily self-deprecating messages (especially relating to art and writing)
🚫 10. Post/share AI-generated images and writing

Including but not limited to:

• character.ai
  
  Due to various issues such as the plagiarism and lawsuits surrounding it, we've decided to ban them.

🚫 11. Call Nestor 'Nestle'

Unfortunately, the name has uncomfortable associations with a company. If curious, please ask a mod through DMs on 'why' as the discussion isn't server-appropriate.

🚫 12. Regarding Medical Advice

Following PCE's Controversial Issues guidelines, please refrain from the following:
Soliciting or providing medical advice. If you have any questions or concerns about your health, please ask your doctor.
Soliciting or providing pet care advice. If you have questions or concerns about the health of your pet, please talk to your veterinarian.

Avoid repetitive or long capslock, shout-typing, & key slamming.

Censor capitalized messages behind a ||spoiler bar|| . At most, three words for emphasis is okay. Any more than that needs to be spoiler and warned. I.e, "caps ||FOUR WHOLE CAPITALIZED WORDS!||"

Your occasional keysmash is perfectly fine! Ideally, just don't spam them - caps: ||"JSDLKFJKDLSFJK"|| is long and capitalized so should be tagged as such, but things like "klsdjfklsjf" is fine!

All header-type markdown texts are not allowed, such as `# hi`, `## hello`, or `### howdy`! Everything else is fine.

When spoilering, e.g spoiler ||spoiler||, state what's being censored; even when it isn't in our spoiler list. E.g. [cats] ||cats cats cats cats cats||

As this is a public server with a large and growing userbase, we can't have censor rules for everything. We try to cover common things, but members are somewhat responsible for their own experience in the server.

Feel free to DM a mod If you think we've missed something common, or should any member harass you regarding spoilers or triggers.

... Negativity and Complaints

About RNG: Any and all messages expressing disappointment at the RNG aspects of the game (e.g, item drops, Nestor cats, adventuring drops/RNG, etc.) go in #rng-campfire. It keeps the server a mostly positive space, and allows people to mute the channel.

About Site Functions: Discussion of site functions, existing or planned, is allowed, however, please remember we're an unofficial server. If there's something about the site that you really want changed, please head to Contact Us or go to the Dev Corner!

Discussions must be civil and respectful, even when you disagree; everyone’s opinion is allowed, whether negative or positive. No one should drown out others with their own opinions. Whether you like something or you don’t, there is no excuse for repeating your opinion to shut others down.

If you feel a discussion is uncomfortable, inappropriate, or is disrespectful, please DM a mod to assist, or DM Modmail to contact us. These rules may read like we punish any criticism — we do not; we're limiting the amount of negativity that members have to deal with. A lot of negative messages we've had reported to us are not appropriate for a public server and should be taken to a non-public space where you can vent among friends.

• Change your Discord nickname to include your username!
  — Your nickname must clearly include your full PCE user and be at the rightmost of your username. Emojis at the end are fine!
  — Special fonts are not allowed in nicknames.
  — You'll find members with 'username (3/10) [1]' or similar in their Discord nickname. These are often personal trackers, such as number of adventuring runs or their notes savings. This is not required; it's just an easy way for members to track their goals through Discord!
  
• Head to #⁠intro, and mention your username and ID
  The channel will be hidden after verification, so detailed introductions aren't necessary.
  
• Pick out your roles in ⁠roles while waiting!
  It may take us a while to give you the Migrated from Earth role, so please enjoy ⁠#not-cat-share in the meantime! (#not-cat-share is visible on purpose to show the activity of the server. :3)
