As it turns out, running a weekly newspaper is a lot of work. Kale's mostly quiet and peaceful village does not provide enough stories to cover, and there are only so many times he can speculate about where Nestor is getting all this stuff from. The gossip column is by far his most successful. It is easy to get new rumors to talk about if you just make things up! Even then, talking about the same people has become stale. There is only one solution: to look into other villages for juicy gossip.

"You want to know about that? Well every single time time we have to fight something I'm almost always the first to get attacked. I really don't understand it at this point." states Sarai, the 4 year-old Sprucefort adventurer and fisher who had been reported to

Ever since they set their paws in the Heart of the Woods for the first time, the explorer had been almost always been the focus of whatever was hunting the group.

"One of the first times out, when everyone was learning what the woods looked like and what it had, we ran into one of those lambs. Everyone was closer to it than me but I remember it looked me straight in the eye as it ran up kicked me into the mud-" She recalled. "-It took me at least an hour to get my pelt clean. I wouldn't know what to do if it was as long as Verdant's."

Soon after the bark coloured cat would go on explaining how foes would turn their swipes from their allies to herself in an instant and "It felt like I would only duck half the time."

"Owls and hawks always swooped towards me first, spirits would pelt me with rocks for me regardless of the distance and I'd always get hissed at the most by anything that could. I'm glad I dodged most of the attacks." Sarai stated.

"There was this one time where Brook - one of our teammates - was cornered by two forest hounds. It had been a pretty rough fight and Brook was barely standing upright. They were at the top of the cliffs whilst everyone else was further down dealing with the third hound. By the time we realised we were all too far away-

-but then when I called up to him, one of the forest hounds whipped their head around faster than lightning and its ears went straight up before it tried jumping down the ledge and sprinting towards me! But they'd got their leg caught on the rock and tumbled over like one of Pythe's kits!" Sarai recounted, with a smile for the first time since the interview had began.



"After that it was quite easy to chased 'em off once they had been separated. We'd all agreed it was straight back to Sprucefort after that ambush." Sarai said. "Took a bit before we went back, mainly because a certain cat didn't want to rest."
