OH HECK YEAH! I love the idea of a "Found Family"!
I happen to have a Nestor cat who I headcanon to be a halfsibling of my two other Nestor kittens and having an option to make something like this a real thing is very exciting!
Can't wait for the seasonal events too.

I love the found family type options you are thinking about :) That is my favourite scenario and I tear up every time I get it <3 I'm no-contact with 95% of my genetic family, found family is everything to me and it warms my heart playing this game because I feel like you really understand what it's like.

will the requirement for cats to be partners before they can have kittens ever be removed? it was quite jarring signing up for such a queer positive set your cat's pronouns game to make catmint tea and get hit with a "childbirth may only take place under the sanctity of marriage" message LMAO ITS VERY OUT OF PLACE
