So, as someone who just got a bean from Nestor today, I realized there's not a lot of wiggle room to prevent Nestor beans from growing up lonely if you're given one (esp an older one) as a newer account.

I've managed to cobble together an Apothecary real quick with the help of a friend and spent a number of notes to get a pair tea'd tomorrow, but the Apothecary is more endgame, bean scenarios are very hard to come by in daily scenarios, and the chances of Nestor deciding to give you another bean in the nick of time is very very low.

In light of this, I'd like to suggest a few possible ways to make preventing Nestor beans from growing up lonely easier:

1. Nestor gives beans that are no older than, say, 7 days old, giving you at least 20 days of wiggle room to get more beans for Adoptive Littermates
2. The Adoptive Littermate button stays on a Nestor bean's page for the full 28 days, even if they'd grow up to Young Kitten in the meanwhile
3. Nestor beans have more wiggle room in who they can be Adoptive Littermates with (i.e., they can be adoptive littermates with older cats)? Maybe Nestor beans can become adoptive littermates with Nestor young kittens/kittens? Something like that?

I don't think Nestor beans should be unable to grow up lonely entirely since I can see the lore potential behind that, but some way to make it easier to stop if you want to would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to suggest other ways to make lonely Nestor bean prevention easier!

I think it'd be very cute if Adoptive Littermate could be assigned to any young kitten and maybe also actual kitten as well. Imagine being an original lonely bean from Nestor and then being told you're getting a new sibling

If there's complications in the coding though, then #1 seems like the easiest way to go about it! At least they should have a week until they grow up since beans take a week to be born. I'm not sure if this is already in place since I've hardly gotten beans to really see this with though so who knows.

Just got given a bean today that has no chance of adoption, so honestly something needs to be done with this to prevent certain beans being entirely locked to being lonely. I got them at 21 days old, and even if I beaned a couple today, they will not be out of the oven in time for the new bean not to be lonely.

To be clear, all Nestor kittens spawn as lonely, even ones that are nearly adolescents, so for the vast majority of Nestor-given babies they're lonely kittens by default and there's no way to prevent it. Nestor would have to be unable to give out older kittens entirely for this to be effective.

Littermate is a very specific title for beans that are born together, so having it last longer doesn't really make sense lore-wise. Siblings, sure! But littermates is very specific and isn't the same as siblings. Eventually I'd like to add found family titles for adoptive sibling and such, but littermate won't be one of those since it really is a specific term for being born together.

What would be more feasible is alternative ways to mitigate the -1 Bravery/Extroversion, like a kitten gaining [insert other kind of relationship, maybe a mentor?] gives a boost if they were a lonely kitten.

Maybe a new role in the village lodge? Like....something akin to a therapist? Or a Counsellor who the lonely kitties can go talk to and get help with social strategies to socials better to mitigate the -1 brave/extro?

This is actually really cute. Maybe like a nursery/daycare role that gives opportunities to eliminate the penalty. You'd get it building a playground or something and then all the kittens could play together on slides and swingsets and cat trees for climbing.

Only thing about focusing on just beans themselves, is what about the now adult not-cats that were lonely kitties, they still have the debuff? are they forever doomed to have the negatives? Or is it age inclusive. So any lonely Not-cat can attend to get a opportunity to eliminate the penalty?

Maybe if there are 2 cats that were both lonely kittens together, in adulthood they could both lose the penalty together? And this could be some kind of relationship(not sure what'd it'd be called though).
