I would like to propose some sort of countershading type marking! Countershading is super common in animals (including many cats) where the dorsal side of the critter is darker and the underside is lighter in color. Likely this might take the form of a pattern/solid allele that is co-dominant with pattern (so pattern [YY/YN], countershaded only [CC/CN], pattern with countershade [YC], and solid [NN]) since I think it would work best when paired with various markings rather than being its own separate mark, but that's just me hypothesizing, take with a grain of salt ^^
I own a pair of very lovely and heavily countershaded brown tabbies, and the options for imitating them on site look very little like them due to the lack of countershading. Watercolor does a little bit to break the coloring up, but since it's splotchy like tortie markings it doesn't have quite the same effect. This is just my quick mock-up to hopefully convey my idea - normal classic brown tabby on the left, countershade concept on the right :3c
