Exactly what it sounds like, a writing thread! I like to write down little snippets of my OC's lives every now and then and this is where I'll collect those I write about my not-cats. I'm not a good author tho so don't expect a lot! I'm just having fun over here~

The night was pleasantly cold, and the reds and oranges that the autumn brought with it were pale in the moonlight that weaved its way through the leaf canopy. Geist truly looked like a ghost, looking down at their friends sleeping in a big pile, like cats do. The white not-cat balanced across the branch, jumped down from the tree and stepped out onto a clearing.
They looked up at the sky. The two unfamiliar moons, and the strange constellations…
This really wasn’t earth, huh. Geist had had their doubts, but it became more and more apparent that Nestor had spoken the truth.
Another cat came over to Geist and sat down beside them. Senick. She was larger than Geist, and her fur was dark, so she had been invisible in the shadows.
“Couldn’t sleep either?” Her voice was gentle and quiet.
Geist shook their head. “I have to watch out for any predators, or other cats that could sneak up while we’re sleeping. We can’t let our guard down”
Senick didn’t answer for a while, eyes fixed on the stars with a dreamy expression.
“You know, I think you shouldn’t be that worried. I get the feeling that we’re really from here like Nestor said, you know? And look, don’t the stars seem more familiar than back on earth?” She pointed up at the sky. “Back there, they seemed to be so random, but here they just make sense. Look, that constellation looks like a bunny! And that one like a feather!”
Geist looked to where she pointed. And it was true, the stars seemed to naturally form what she described. And now that they paid attention to it, everything did seem more natural.
“...you know what? Maybe you’re right. Maybe this place is where we belong”
They took a deep breath of the cold air, and relaxed for what seemed like the first time in their life.
Then, they pointed at the sky, too. “Don’t these stars up there look like a winged cat to you?”
