New Clothes!
The following clothing items can now be viewed in the database and, over the next few days, I will be adding their recipes to make them available to craft!
Upcoming Gathering Changes
In preparation for the winter season approaching, I will be modifying the gathering system to allow for certain occupations to accept more than one possible required material in the next week. Changes anticipated are:
- Clothier will be doable with Wool OR Cotton
- Baker will be doable with Crickets OR Snow Ants
- Craftscat will be doable with Bones OR Tree Sap
Other Changes
- Probabilities of Seeds and Rocks were swapped.
- Ingredients for Autumn Barn were altered to match the Spring/Summer and Winter Barns.
What's Next?
- A set of craftscat craftable furniture. Some of this furniture will require the cloth craftable by the clothier (in case you were wondering what that craftable material was for). Decoration implementation goes significantly faster than clothes implementation (only have to draw each item once and not 20 times), so this should not take as long as the clothing did.
- I have begun plotting out the social interaction system. This is the next big feature addition! Every day, you'll get a series of social "events" with a few possible responses. The answer you choose could result in free items as well as your cats starting friendship, relationships, and even families.
Example: A few of your cats are having a snowball fight and one of them can choose to throw the snowball at a friend, throw 3 snowballs at once, or (if they're protective) bravely dive in front of another cat to take the snowball hit for them. In response to one of the answers, you end up finding an item on the ground, for the other, you and that cat become pals, and so on.
This feature will add a significant amount of life and personality to your cats!
Bug Fixes
- Nestor now opens his eyes when he gives you his heart
- Preview boxes are now hidden until you actually hit preview
- Gathering item boxes no longer get cut off at the bottom sometimes
- Focus fixed on the sandbox link to the full item database
- Trinket stat information now properly shows up in gathering, inventory, and when selecting to add a trinket to a cat
- Building placement no longer weird when you first add a building
- Duplicate flavortext for Nestor offering a cat that's afraid of you fixed
- Users should no longer get blank notifications when a global notification is expired but unread
- Line break weirdness on trinkets in gathering fixed
- Cat instead of not-cat in a line at the meeting grounds fixed
- Job assignment page takes trinkets into account now
- Clothier when unlocked now allows crafting
