Main Story
The Gist
As a relatively new village, Elsewhere is not fully in-tune with not-cat culture yet. They are instead developing their own of sorts, revolving around a device called a Noise Pod. The Noise Pod is an accidentally-recovered item from Earth, where their leader, Swan Song, lived with a human. One day, the human disappeared, leaving Swan very confused and frustrated. She’d return months later, only to leave again after a similar amount of time.
Swan Song would very quickly grow sick of the back-and-forth, and sought after locating the human herself, and decided to bring the Noise Pod with her, in hopes that her human would remember it and her. She would become lost in the city eventually, still carrying around the Noise Pod until she was injured, until found by Ship in a Bottle and Phantom, two more not-cats. After they treated her wounds, the trio would swiftly be brought to not-earth by Nestor, with the Noise Pod in tow.
The Noise Pod would eventually lose battery and die, driving Swan Song into a rage and requiring her to be left alone for a couple of days. The other two cats would find more lost not-cats to join their quickly-growing village, much to Swan’s dismay. Inexplicable appeared, offering to defend the strange device that seemed to mean so much to Swan while she looked for a way to fix it, but she declined, stating that she could do a better job than any stranger. She would stay alone, curled up around the device protectively for days, not hunting for herself and barely speaking to anyone.
However, one of the cats, Hollow Moon, brought with him a rock. It wasn’t just any rock; it was a space rock, which generated electricity when two not-cats rubbed their fur together nearby. This would cause the Noise Pod to charge, and Swan views The Wolf and Hollow Moon with great respect and appreciation because of the incident (even if it was entirely on-accident).
Since these events, Swan Song has become a good (albeit reluctant) leader! She cares for each cat in the village equally, with the exception of her closest friend, Ship in a Bottle, who's been there for her since the very beginning. Phantom was also present, but apprehensive about Swan Song at first (which she doesn't blame the other not-cat for, but still).

A Happy Accident
(Collab with @EmeraldBirb <3)
Icarus is a cat who was born in a war-torn village. She was never given a proper name, and as soon as she was old enough to run away, she was hunted down by cats much bigger than her at a very early age. Running away is all she knew for a very, very long time. She never had time to get to know anyone, and the fear of leaving everything she loves will forever haunt her in the back of her mind.
While running, she found Warchild, another unnamed young not-cat running from all the bloodshed. The two agreed to become friends for survival, even though neither of them were really sure what being a friend meant at the time.
After finally tiring of running and collapsing of exhaustion, they were found by an Elsewhere not-cat: a village full of not-cats who admittedly seemed oblivious to the concept of war. For the best, they both agreed: no one here to start one. As they were dragged in, fur caked in mud and dried dirt, Ship in a Bottle suggested that Icarus looked familiar, but was unable to discern where from.
Icarus and Warchild would quickly be given their Elsewhere names, as Swan Song greatly emphasized with their hardship and struggle to stay alive. Although confused, the pair would accept their new, or rather, first ever proper names.
After spending time in the forest, Icarus would meet Tune, who rather unceremoniously threw a flower at the not-cat's face after hearing a beautiful song in the woods they just had to find the source of. Turns out, Tune's village isn't far, and even better, they're nearly identical not-cats!
And then... Mr. Fear appeared. A nameless warrior whose paws were stained with blood. He introduced himself as The Stranger, and Icarus noticed she looked almost identical to him. She quietly watched as he shared stories of the war-torn village he had to abandon just to protect.

Starhunter
A pair of not-cats who both wandered into Elsewhere on the same day. Godhunter entered at dawn, Starkiller arrived at dusk. Because of this, they spent a considerable amount of time together, being the only new outsiders in quite a while. The other not-cats were kind to them, of course, but nothing quite beats trauma bonding in an unfamiliar place with an unfamiliar face.
Starkiller quickly made a name for herself in the village by being... herself, really. Carrying around the skull on her head earned her a lot of questions, to which she shared openly and perhaps too honestly. Previously, lying about its origins and her own had gotten her into trouble. She figured this would be right. Right?
Close enough, apparently; although some of the others were skittish, Swan Song is hardly one to judge a not-cat by past mistakes, especially ones that weren't theirs to make. Starkiller was quickly welcomed into the village with open arms by any not-cat comfortable with doing so (but no not-cats uncomfortable with her presence were punished).
Godhunter was quiet at first, only speaking when spoken to. Starkiller often answered for her, leading some to be slightly suspicious of the pair. However, Godhunter is and was simply unsure of if Elsewhere was the right village for them. Seeing how Swan Song welcomed the pair even though it was almost objectively stupid to do so gave her hope, hope that she hadn't had in a very, very long time.
