Leaf Day Coloring Contest
Our first leaf day is coming up soon, and with it, we'll be hosting a coloring contest for these cute leafhogs:
These little guys will be a collectable set that will then "soft retire" at the end of the event. (That is, they will become extraordinarily rare in future Leaf Days.)
8 winners will be chosen for each lineart. Prizes will include $20 in premium currency (200 essence fragments), 1 prize basket (in the color of your choice), and three copies of your winning leafhog.
Coloring contests will be held for every Snowmelt and Leaf Day for collectable sets.
More about Leaf Day
Leaf Day is going to be the second of two light events. It's going to feature a small set of event-exclusive vegetable resources, clothing, and decor that will return each year, the retiring collectables above, and some returning snacks. All items can be acquired in a large number of ways:
- purchased at a temporary event shop
- brought back by cats during daily gathering, which will yield bonus harvest odds from garden-group occupations
- special leaf day-unique scenarios
- adventuring
- won as prizes during the starball minigame
Event-exclusive vegetables will be usable in some
super-powered luncheon options, so stock up on as much as you can to save for a special day!
Item Selection Screen Clean-up
The item selection screens have begun getting a small clean-up in preparation for the inventory changes that will be required for custom clothing/decor.
These new selection boxes have been rolled out to the Marketplace, Cat Recruitment Board, and Private Trades/Gifts. Within each box, you can type into the search to filter for items and/or click on the categories to filter exclusively certain categories.
New Craftscat Crafts
Craftscats can now create wheelchairs in a variety of cloth and wood combinations. These craftscat wheelchairs have folding legs to make them easier to carry around when not in use.
Other Changes
- The firefly clothing items have been renamed to Firefly Buddies and Silver Firefly Buddies to match the other bug items.
- In order to decrease the bloat in the hunter occupation pool, some of the fantail pigeon sets are going to become seasonal in the next update (~ 3 weeks from now). Availability will be as follows:
Dark, Light, and Brown will appear all year round.
Maroon will appear in autumn and winter.
Gold will appear in summer and autumn.
Green will appear in spring and summer.
Blue will appear in winter and spring.
Bug Fixes
- Trade snow layer colors corrected after update
- Trade spotted layer corrected after update
- Trade mink layer corrected after update
- Some luncheons had incorrect bonus values. HP bonuses were supposed to go up in multiples of 2, and a number were set to +3 instead of +4. Any +3 HP recipes are now +4.
- Added alt text as title text to user age batteries so that the info shows on hover
- Corrected issue where importing a watercolor bean imports the layer at the wrong age in the sandbox
- Corrected issue where null watercolor and spotted trade layers were incorrectly colored in new files
- Fixed issue where battles do not end if you have a +health luncheon and a party of less than 4 cats
- Fixed issue where connections were timing out early
- Fixed issue where adventuring skill challenge third option becomes misaligned when using only 3 cats
