Village Lore
- Woodnote gained its name from the artistic and somewhat romantic Lila, who spoke of the birds' songs in an awed voice when she and the rest of the founders first arrived on Not-Earth and found the spot that would become their home.
- Woodnote is a village that prides itself on its self-sufficiency as a community - they rarely need to import basic supplies or necessities. However, they do occasionally purchase luxuries or other goods on trips to Gardenhome or other locations.
- The creative arts are valued; however, the village's scribes/artists/craftcats go through materials so quickly that they often have to pitch in with sourcing more materials to continue creating. Jobs that produce food and non-art-related materials aren't as highly valued, but are seen as necessary to allow their economy to be as self-contained as possible.
- Woodnote is located along the western shore of Crescent Lake, where the water provides a scenic view and fertile land for food both plant- and meat-based.
- Whenever there are new additions to the village (either through beans being born or wandering not-cats finding their way to the village and choosing to settle in) the inhabitants celebrate with a special meal to welcome them to the village.
- Woodnote is technically a democratic village; however, its first elected leader, Elm, is so popular that they're constantly reelected.
- If a not-cat finds they don't fit in well within Woodnote, they're allowed to spend time in the village before going on their way to find a location that suits them better.
- Woodnote has a very friendly relationship with nearby Pawprint Village, with some not-cat catbassadors from one village living in the other. They also have a friendly relationship with the Northern Travel Group and RuneClan, but do not have catbassadors between them.
- Periodically the village leader will lead a training camp for a few weeks. These trips will wander through one of a variety of routes to keep things fresh, the party containing a healthy mix of Woodnote's defenders and civilians of varying skill levels.
I'm Tay. My pronouns are she/they... I'm a bit shy but I'd like to think I'm friendly if anyone wants to say hi.
I like to write, and use that to write backstories for all of my not-cats. (I'm lazy about putting them in their bios on here, though.) I also like to draw, though I'm a bit of an amateur in that regard.
Outside of PCE, I like Pokemon (well, more like I'm obsessed with it), Animal Crossing, Cattails, and Stardew Valley. I also like to roleplay - the non-asterisks kind! Well, I indulge in some wholesome asterisks sometimes, but mostly I prefer roleplay that's more like cooperative storytelling. I prefer to talk on Discord, though I won't post my tag there publicly for obvious reasons.
