Here in the Grotto the not-cats that garden and farm work together alongside the fungi of the forest, taking advantage of the natural symbiotic relationships between plant and fungus to give new saplings and seedlings that additional head start in life.
Plants are kept gently warm in the winter by the cats tending to them, and a variety of crops that generally stick to other seasons can be seen growing for some time alongside the seasonal harvest.
At times, a small animal or two can be seen helping to dig up harvest-ready crops in return for part of the harvest and gentle head pats.
