Hiya!

Foxglove Towne is my ooky-spooky lil village, and I have a bunch of not-cats to do creative stuff with! I really wanna flesh out my lore and stuff.

My proposition?

I'll write your not-cats letters from my not-cats! Or I'll put "individual letters/journals" as well here!

Yeah! I dunno, just a little something to have fun with I'll pick a random cat from my village each time!

"Hello! I'm Cortado!
Well, this is my journal. Haha, yep! My journal! This is a new and exciting adventure for me, I just arrived in Foxglove Towne for the very first time, on Spring 15!

I haven't yet been fully welcomed in yet. There was myself and a small group of other cats that all arrived here on the same day. We were all whisked away by a cat and promptly had flower clothing put onto us. I think we all look nice, and that we all really got some that suited us!

Our little group included myself and six other cats! There's Volcano. I'm not really sure how to feel about aer. Ae might just be a little shy, but I get the feeling that ae's sort of unique in aer own way too. I feel like if Volcano possibly opened up to other not-cats, that everyone would get along with aer very quickly! I've seen Volcano switch off and on from doing work as a scribe and doing work as a miner. I wonder which ae likes more? I don't really understand why they put Volcano in a black violet outfit, it doesn't really seem to suit ae at all. I hope I find more about Volcano, ae seems sweet!

Then there was Maude. I think she's a very resourceful and smart not-cat? When she arrived it seemed like she was studying and scoping the area, looking for something all while taking notes. I think the white periwinkle suits her well, I can't really describe it but she really just gives me kind vibes? Maude is extremely graceful and polite. I get the feeling that even if we discovered ghosts or something here that she'd hand it with stride! Well, at least she would welcome them I think! I can't wait to find out more about Maude, she seems so cool honestly.

Next, I was greeted by Xio. Xe seems like a very cheerful and bright not-cat! I had so much fun hanging out with xem because the whole time Xio was bouncing on our feet and rambling about how cool the houses and apartments were in xyr eyes. I think those purple violets look soooooo cute on xyr, like, it totally fits Xio. The violets are as bright as xyr personality in my eyes. I hope I get to hang out with the cheerful fella a lot more!

Giselle was a lot like Xio, but I personally thought she was sweeter than xem. Giselle is probably one of the most muscular not-cats I've ever seen- I was totally shocked to see her standing next to Volcano because she is definitely tall! All she really talked on and on about though seemed to be adventuring. She seemed so excited, which I so can't blame her because I cannot wait to get out there myself! I think those watercolour daisies suit her very well, too.

There was also Daleyza... oh Daleyza. I don't think I am starting off on the right foot with them, because when I tried speaking to them about how excited I was to have arrived here, I sort of was just met with the cold shoulder! I'm not sure if they're just straight up rude, or maybe I was too intense, or what, but I definitely got rubbed the wrong way. Maybe I'm being too harsh on them though, maybe Daleyza is actually really a swell and wonderful not-cat with similar interests as me, and I'm just judging way way way too early. Those carnations really match their firey spirit though.

My favorite though of the whole bunch has to be Lungo. First impression? Fantastic. Lungo carries aerself very very confidently, and gives off the energy of an absolute cinnamon roll. I personally think ae's cute with aer black fur and the tiger lily combo, but maybe that's just me over complimenting aer. When we all first walked through, Lungo was the first to talk to me and we bonded over our love of adventuring! I hope we become the best of friends...or more maybe?

I get this feeling...well, actually I get many weird feelings, but I feel like we're not the only ones who are going to land here altogether. There's going to be more, absolutely there's going to be more not-cats. I really so hope that I can find someone to gossip with, because I have a hard time meeting others and it would be nice to have a close friend actually. Adjustment periods are already hard, and I'm just so grateful to be taken in by this... interesting and mysterious village!

I'll have to work on my socialization skills and bravery but for now...

"Dear diary,
Sometimes I become lost while exploring around here. Something troubles me, but it doesn't really scare me. I have goosebumps and chills, but there's nothing that seems actually way too off you know?

Well, actually that's a lie. There's a lot of things off here in Foxglove Towne. For instance, have you ever seen a door upside down on a building? You can't even get into our post office because of Princely the Greatest Prince of All Time tacking the door upside down on the post office. I'm so shocked that our mail carrier can even get in the dang building! They have to leap through the window in order to get through, which is impressive, cause that's one high jump! It's not even just the door to the post office that's messed up it's...well, pretty much every building has a messed up door that's messed up in some way shape or form!

I really wanna know what's up with that door to the mines though, because that door is something else that's for sure. I've never seen a door placed horizontally with no actual door knob. So you have to kick the door open with your back paws, spin around, and then you find that there's not even a staircase. You gotta like, shimmy on down this ladder or pole down into the mines and it makes no sense. Stairs?? Aren't stairs so much easier?? Hello? Who designed this place?!

Everyone here that I've ever talked to says that something has drawn them here. When you explore hard enough, I guess a really distant ancestor of yours or something finds some really really weird way of contacting you. Maybe I've lost my mind, but I swear I've seen a grey cat almost identical to me talking through a pool of water. Actually, not even a pool, it was more like a really murky puddle. There's some really weird things about this place, and while I don't hate it, I definitely prefer travelling.

Well. Correction; I prefer travelling when there's no kiddo that needs someone to look after them. I'm the one who gets called on when there's a kiddo that needs a parent now that I've gained the trust of other not-cats here. I don't mind, I just think it's kind of weird in my mind. I'll take care of 'em until they're grown and then I support them on whatever path of life or journey they choose to take. I love them all dearly, and I hope they know how much I love them and how proud of them I am (even though they did not hang up that one painting in the right place).

I must be doing something right even though other cats call me bossy, 'cause my kiddos love me and I've got a decent amount of friends around here. Although to be honest, I'm not really sure why my three friends decided to grow attached to me. I mean this with the upmost love in my heart, but they're all so...docile. Simple. Plain. They deserve a happy, boring, easy life and they're friends with me. I'm all over the place, I'm loud, I'm commanding, and I'll tell others my exact opinion. Do they like loud cats maybe? Maybe they need someone to help em break out of their shell? I dunno, I just think it's a very weird coincidence.

Even if I don't really understand their thinking, what I do know is that if any of my friends were to call me over, I'd help. Doesn't matter if it's 19:00, 02:45, 06:17, 11:59, whatever time. I'd help them in a heartbeat and would drop everything that I'm doing. Same with my kiddos. Maybe even the same with that troublemaker, Spectre .

All I know, is that even though to many this isn't what a home should be, this place is good enough for me.

Jesper Agate recently became an adult kitty.... I'm sure she'd love to socialize! This would be a fun way for me to formalize her personality as the eldest of her sibs
