In the rugged terrain of the Cloudnap Mountains, there exists a secluded village where not-cats have carved out their home. At the heart of this community is a warm, jovial, and somewhat unassuming founder named Cicero. Though Cicero is not Mayor of this village named ‘Noseblind’, he is deeply respected by many of the faces in the village.
Born in a tranquil village nestled in Nestor’s wood, Cicero spent his early years surrounded by grasses, flowers, and trees. A deep yearning for exploration can only be held down so long though, and this is what drove the, at the time, young not-cat to set off with a few select friends to find new heights. Cloudnap mountains are notoriously difficult to climb , but can be quite rewarding once reaching the caverns located inside. Nowadays, Noseblind is in a mix of regular housing and amenities on the base of the mountains, as well as housing inside the caves and crevices. The Not-cats are typically great climbers here, though some prefer to stay down below.
As the founder of Noseblind, Cicero knows well the importance of unity, care, and community. His partner, a not-cat named Running who became a resident by stumbling upon it during their own lone adventuring near Cloudnap Mountains, stands by his side and has become mayor of Noseblind. Together, they opened their hearts and home to lonely kittens, creating a warm and inclusive environment for those who had lost their families or found themselves in need of a home. Cicero and Running have a large sum of adopted not-cats for this reason, with him teaching young kittens in the village as well.
Noseblind gets most of its members by lost not-cats adventuring on their own and needing a place to stay. Though Cicero and Running are now settled, they do not take offense to any not-cat wanting to leave the village and explore new heights and locations if their heart yearns to. Noseblind is a village known for taking in traveling not-cats who need some extra support or need to settle for a bit, and though it can be said for certain that every not-cat will be missed if they decide to leave, it is a respected decision among the community.
Noseblind got its name due to high winds in the area, making it hard to breathe at worst and difficult to lock onto scents of prey. A positive attribute of this is that Noseblind can be hard to locate for any enemies or predators, but a con is that hunting can be tough at times and harsh on village residents bodies. Additionally, terrain for farming is scarce. For this reason, Noseblind keeps large identifying statues and markers for help with being located, and depends on trading for food with nearby villages; exchanging raw materials like ores, crystals, rocks, Woolly bun wool from the mountain Woolly buns, and skilled building services in return.
