TOPIC | What does “+2” on jobs mean?
Recently I came up with a goal to have 3 cats in every occupation. I’ve been choosing whichever job has the highest buff from the change jobs menu. I just want to know what the +3, -2, or +0 effects actually does, I’ve just heard that it’s better to get cats with high ability to perform a job. Does it make them gather more rescources or level up in the job quicker? I just want to know how worth it it is to choose the “best” jobs for cats.

you can read more about this in the gather resources tutorial page but basically, when gathering each notcat rolls a dice of 0-20, and the higher the modifier is the higher the minimum number they can roll is.
so for example a cat with +7 will role at least an 8, whereas a notcat with -5 will role a minimum -4 (they can still both role 20)
each job has specific personality and stats that will increase the modifier, which are written in the assign job page
