Some suggestions of my own:

• Bring back the old adventuring mechanic where Double Shot uses two bolts! This is much more realistic and adds to the lifelike qualities of Pixel Cat's End (as if angry floating rocks weren't lifelike enough on their own.)
  
• Add a tax for quickselling. There is a huge circulations of notes across the site, and this is a good way to reduce that. No more capitalism!
  
• Add Mushroom Day, which is an annual event occuring on Summer 1 where the only gathering, adventuring, Nestor, scenarios, AND mail drops are mushrooms. Just mushrooms.
  
• The necessity to unlock Inventory, CRB, OM, and your public profile! It'd be neat. That's all.
  
• Include a teeny tiny chance to get a cat from Nestor (not GHC for lore reasons) who is just a Cat. Not a not-cat. A regular cat. These cats typically have lower cleverness stats, no wind, and a very Earth-cat name like "Fluffy" or "Millie." But the chance is very low, so they will quickly become sought-after and valuable.
  

-Allow people to choose which cat is in their profile pic for every post or make it random
-every post has a chance to give ef increasing activity in the forums and a deluge of low effort posts
-add a 6th pose to not cats, the standing on their hindlegs pose. possibly t posing
-allow unused food to spoil
-add durability meter to items reducing their durability over time after uses until they break (example: trinkets lose durability every adventure)
-add thirst meter
-add voice acting. It will just be a lot of mrrr mrpp meow mow meow prrr
-add worm gathering job. It collects lots of worm trinkets.
-add not-nestor who has a chance to appear in place of nestor and steals any 1 item or cat from you wow this is awful

Ok fun fact this was real??? Back when there was going to be a reasonableness-adjacent personality stat (This stat would make them not want to do their jobs / slack off / not listen to player commands)

It would also make kittens shred their toys (trinkets) so you'd have to keep buying them new ones.

Oh my---I can imagine an angry parent telling their kittens, "stop chewing through all your toys! I have to keep buying more!"

ok that would actually be a fun mechanic but i totally get why it was scrapped


as for my own suggestions:

- sometimes notcats commit vote fraud in mayor elections. a candidate submits like 25 votes for themself

- instead of just creating one luncheon meal, you have to make food individually for all of ur notcats. so if u have 54 you have to make warm stew for every one of them

- kinda on the same vein: all not-cats have energy bars and they have to be at least 80% full in order for them to be able to gather resources, breed, or adventure. you fill bars up by feeding not-cats

- if a not-cat gets defeated in adventuring, they will not be able to work/participate in scenarios/be dressed or interactable in any way for a day until they recover

- when applying a love letter, there is a chance a not-cat can reject the other's romantic advances (the item still gets used up)

I feel like durability would be interesting for some items. I have a mountain of trinkets and it's only going to get bigger. But I also feel durability is inherently a stressful mechanic which probably doesn't fit the vibes of this game.


This suggestion reminds me I have another idea which may or may not actually be something i want to see but it's not very wholesome so it might not fit the vibes of the game:

-add break ups, cats have a fight and unfriend each other in daily scenarios (to make it awful the player would have no choice over it) (to make it less awful allow the player choice in whether a relationship dissolves)

cats can leave (on their own). come back after a day, and half your village is gone.
if they don’t likey your village they will pack their bags and leave.
getting them back is impossible. they also take any clothes or trinkets you put on them.

not-nestor is lowkey terrifying. this could be a legit suggestion: give nestor a shadow of nestor reskin on april fools to scare people

- if any of your cats reach zero hp in adventuring, nestor gets concerned and confisgates them from you to give to someone else

- the animal decor in your scenes moves around and you Cannot stop it

- new tornado weather randomly disables three jobs for a week by destroying the buildings

- randomly remove eyes so nestor can borrow extras

- cats have favorite luncheons and do not receive any bonuses unless they've had their favorite meal. it's usually creamy caulimeower soup!

- I think you should only be able to send one item per trade so that it feels more special and realistic, like handing the items into the other cat's paws.

- all customs, nestor-given adults, and business card cats get lonely kitten debuffs since they don't have siblings.

- sometimes traveling cats get lost and then cannot be returned from traveling until you send another cat to retrieve them. and then that cat gets lost too

- option to shave cats

- cats occasionally "borrow" things out of your vault. most of the time the items disappear. other times the stolen items can randomly appear underneath decor in scenes, and only then it can be collected

- cats can just wander off during an adventure. they'll still re-appear at some point either during the adventure or right after the boss is defeated but say goodbye to your best fighter!

- if your cat has low enough energy then they will not do anything all day. no working no adventuring. can't even move them around the village. nada
alternatively cats go into Zoomie mode if they have high enough energy. they do all jobs at once x5 and instantly crash the site

- occasionally a pleasant/ordinary/gentle personality cat, after making a rival or being the main cat in a negative scenario, will be in a bit of a slump all day. they will refuse to participate in any more scenarios, poof from scenes temporarily, and will not work. in order to get them back up, you've got to send a party of 2-4 cats over to cheer them up for a little while
