Anyone else notice a bunch of yellow animals showing up in adventure all of a sudden?

(there was a yellow grapevine deer too but I didn't think to ask until the rat was also yellow)

Is this normal and just something I haven't noticed before?

So I wasn't crazy, they are rare, do they drop different materials or do you just hope for them to drop their decoration versions?

Those are some of the variants, but I usually just run into the regular rats and deer…

every adventure enemy has 3 variants of different rarity, the gold toothy rat and gilded grapevine deer are one of the rare variants ^^

This is the PCE equivalent of a kid finding a shiny Pokemon for the first time and thinking it’s a game glitch.

always thought the lellow rat looked like a pikachu haha

anyways I never thought to associate these guys with the gilded variants of critters like the vine snakes n owls. they just don't look that similar to me; gilded is black-heavy, with striking contrast, and this one is a slightly less golden yellow with pinkish accents. looks more like a standard (i.e.. Earth-like) pigmentary mutation to me!

Edit: whoops, it said deer! yeah, the gilded deer have a similar look. and the lookalike to the owls is actually called "obsidian!" Interesting...

although in terms of other critters, i do think it's interesting there's so many rainbowy ones... Most of the time they're called "paperbark," but the paper bark we can get is always standard-irder birch colors! makes me wonder if there's a grove of rainbow trees out they're they're meant to camouflage with that we just haven't found yet...
