Hello everyone!
I joined this site in the most recent opening, and I'm finally starting to run out of village catpacity. I don't have nearly enough notes to buy more slots, so I'm thinking of sending some of them traveling... not sure who to choose!
Anyone who uses their traveling slots, could you tell me what you're using your main village space for?

my main village has my adventuring team, my cats who are currently having beans, the beans and kittens themselves, my specialty role cats, and a few more cats with high job stats to fill in the gaps.

Personally I use the active space for my most favorite cats and cats apart of current breeding projects. My traveling is mostly project cats I don’t need for a while, recent Nestor cats, and fancats, although sometimes I might send some of my favorite cats traveling for lore reasons.

My main village is my favorites, breeding projects, adventuring team, and, most important of all, at least one of every job who are good at their jobs.

I only keep cats with one of these in my active cats:
+5 or more in gathering
using for beaning
specialty roles (I use this partially as storage for the above cats' spouses)
kittens.

the only difference between active and traveling at a certain stage is that they can't be used to get items/more cats. which is fine! I want to maximize my funds, so I try not to worry about the traveling kitties. their sacrifice is appreciated!!

my custom and starter cats always stay in my village, and ofc there's the obvious like cats raising kittens and speciality roles and adventure cats which i have no choice anyway lol. but other than that i tend to swap out between traveling and active cats so everyone gets a turn to be in my village, except for my fancats who are always traveling

Mine is those that have families, favorite cats.
Traveling is either recent Nestor cats and cats I don't like or find useful like Huck just because I feel you about missing notes to expand.
Edit: If you have any Gardenhome City's cards you can sell those in a thread in Item & Sales category and you'll get a lot of notes. Just remember to check how much it is on the OM first and if someone else is selling card there to. But I do mean make your own thread

my active is primarily my oldest cats, even if there could be better ones for the roles they have. my third page is essentially kitten purgatory since nestor really enjoys handing me children.

if i'm struggling to figure out who to kick, a run a "vibe check" where i go ahead and use their gathering turns and yeet whoever performs worse. some cats have stayed purely because they decided to roll 20s that day

editing to add: this was made a LOT easier when the ability to accept into travelling was added. before it was usually seeing who would get to be stuck with the cooldown, or see if anyone was around to hold a cat for travel fraud
