Answer courtesy Celes: There’s 3 ways to get beans! The first is to have your cats naturally choose to become partners & naturally choose to start a family. This can take time and is done through Daily Scenarios.

The second method is using items you can make in the crafting section to Make cats partners (you need the Scribe occupation for that), and a new item to Make them have beans (you need the Apothecary for that)

The third is that sometimes Nestor will bring you a kitten who you can have any cat adopt

Also not every cat can have beans with each other! North wind can’t have beans with other north wind cats, south winds with other south winds, and null wind cats can’t have beans except through adoption

Trade wind cats can have beans with anyone except null, and south and north can have beans with each other (and trade)

Squid adds: There are really two ways to play, you can be more hands on and really matchmake your cats and make them fit how you want them, or you can be really hands off and simply observe as they become partners or bffs and start families on their own.


There's a "Letter of New Beginnings" item at the Scribe that resets the relationship to acquaintance.

They also ask for approval before doing anything on their own, so if they want to be partners or something it'll prompt you "cat and cat would like to be partners. do you approve?" and you can either approve or ignore it.


Planned but does not exist yet! A system to let users draw and upload their own custom clothes and decoration is on the dev plan for the end of beta.

It will be tied to the premium currency, which is also available in game as a reward for sending cats to the city, leveling cats up in adventuring, and completing adventuring locations.


Occupations are all unlocked by crafting the right buildings or workstations with your Builder or Mason. You can unlock Baker with the bonfire at builder or one of the ovens at mason.


Yes, under account settings (Click the arrow by your username in the header). There's a cooldown so you can only change it once every so often (once I month I believe, so it might be 30 days).

I started working on the art roughly Sept 1st 2019, which is why this date is "Day 0 / Year 0" in the game's in-game clock. I started working on coding the site itself in late Dec 2019, and the game was hosted and moved into alpha in late Dec 2020.


Currently the only ways to make money are to sell spare items to Brian in Quick Sales and send cats to the City (and open the gifts they leave behind, this permanently removes them from the game).

Your other core way of earning money will be when your cats level up in adventuring, you will get a chest with treats and money so u will get it by increasing all ur cats' strongth


They come from dozens of random lists on the internet merged and combined into 4 different subgroups:

- "List of Names for Cats"
- "Nature Names" / "Nature Words"
- "Fantasy Names"
- And "Pretty-Sounding Words" (which is why you get weird stuff like Arbitrage in there.)

I'll admit i haven't read every name on every list so if you do see something weird feel free to send an email about it so i can remove it from the list.


I actually have on my to-do list a setting in accounts to turn off the floating eyes because I did suspect this could be a problem for some. Nestor is polite, he would close his eyes for u. It just requires re-doing the art because Nestor was drawn all on one layer. I will prioritize this now that I've been asked.

The last daily is tied to magic. You will eventually dig up (not released for a while, scheduled for the Magic update post-beta) a magical crystal and if your cats gaze at it once a day they have a chance of discovering their aspect (magic affinity / kitty superpower).
