been planning for a new years bean litter ever since i missed the date for a christmas beans... spent an hour just now testing out pairs with my girl Arch, the eldest daughter of my starter custom, who in my little lore which exists only in my head is VERY important and special and basically the "main character" of my cats. i needed them to be close in age to her, preferably someone she grew up with in her generation or a young nestor cat, someone who not ONLY made cute beanie babies with her, but also would have a cute dynamic with her miserable angsty self, and i finally settled on Helm, a cat from an equally huge family who will make pretty point and mink babies with her! they have protective personality, and i am content with the idea of their dynamic of a rebel looking for a cause and her partner who supports her but just wants to make sure she's safe and takes time for self care too.

i get the love letters, generously gifted by a friend a few days ago.

i get the catmint tea, readily prepared by my resident apothacary.

i apply the two items and...

wheres the baby.

the site has set me to viewing the brand new third page of my cats. one of my growing kittens sits there, staring at me. knowing. judging.

this cannot be possible- i had two full pages of not-cats. if theres only one cat on the new page...

then...

no...! it cant be...!!!!!

i collapse to my knees in defeat.

at least i have enough to make more love letters and tea so that the baby wont be lonely.

okay, theatrics over, im SO annoyed at these two!! all that effort mulling over who would be the perfect fit for her mate, and you guys only give me a single bean?! smh! looks like SOMEONE wont be getting a new outfit to celebrate their newfound lore importance anytime soon!! aside from maybe an item to shame them... hm... ill have to look through my hoard...

dont worry, im not actually super upset and angry XD im just overdramatic and miffed at them for giving me a disapoint gift after id hyped myself up so much, lol. i actually think that having just a lonely bean might be fun for lore development! defintely gonna try to craft some more items to get more beans for this generation so they wont be so miserable.

so yeah. how have yalls new years bean clutches been going? :D tbh im kinda grateful i now have an excuse to bust out some more catmint teas.

My condolances but luckily im lucky, my first little of beans was a group of three, my second was two and my third (Born tomorrow) is three! (Though the soon-to-be-born trio is all south but whatever)

Also they will share the same b-day as your single lonely bean lol

I'm a newer player (or just really unlucky lol) and I have a single set of partnered notcats, partnered through scenarios. I splurge and buy myself catmint for catmint tea. I do some upkeep and send a few notcats traveling because I want postcards. And what did I do? I sent one of my only two partnered notcats traveling. :( smh. THEN I look closer and find out that they're both North Wind cats so THEY CAN'T EVEN HAVE BEANS! SMH x2. I feel your pain. Breeding notcats is misery
