Squirrel is often praised for her luck, finding herself on the better side of odds all the time. However she doesn't really care for it, she often feels insulted that everyone assumes all her achievements were luck, she'd rather have no praise at all over all the time she spends studying and learning, observing the world and turning that in knowledge being dismissed.

One day while journeying in the woods to gather for plants and herbs, she picks up a log, finding a large worm under it that seemed to have... eyes? That's not normal, maybe it's a pattern. The worm blinked. Squirrel jumped back, startled. "WHAT?!" It took a few seconds to collect herself, but she goes back to the worm out of curiosity.

She stands face to face with the blinking worm, they stare at each other for a few moments, the worm suddenly jumps. Squirrel flinches and closed her eyes, she feels a slight weight on her nose. She slowly opens her eyes to the sight of a worm on her snout, she's still as a statue sweating a bit, the worm inches up to her head... After a few minutes she finally started trying to move, slowly padding her way back to the village... with a worm on her head.

On her way back she hears the sound of rushing water. Uh oh. Through the brush the sun shines over heavy rapids in a once calm creek, A beaver dam must have been destroyed upstream. There's no other way to get back to the village, she observes the raging rapids and assesses where she can go, she notices a few rocks poking out of the white water forming a trail... Bingo She prepares herself to jump, almost about to leap- But suddenly freezes... Glancing up, she can see the tail tip of the worm in the corner of her eye. She hesitates, not wanting to fling it off while leaping across the river rocks.

She looks around behind her, wondering how to handle this. She starts to search through her pack for ideas... Hmm She pulls out some large leaves from her haul, and looks at ivy on a nearby tree. I got it! She tears some ivy off the tree and pulls out the leaves, laying the make shift rope on the ground next to her, she gets her large leaves and starts to fold them, she starts to form a box, after folding the bottom and walls, she tears off a piece of the ivy rope, then brings her paw up to the worm, beckoning it to get on, the worm obliges. She gently places it in the leaf box, folding over the top, and gently ties it shut, not tightly enough to squeeze it, but secure enough for it not to open. She grabs the rest of the ivy rope, and sifts it through the rope on the bottom of the leaf box, after it's halfway through, she lifts the box to her head and ties it to her head. done

She runs and leaps in circles in a bit to make sure it's secure before traversing the rapids, after having no issues, she faced the rocky path in the white water. Focused, she leaped gracefully across three rocks and made it to the other side safely. After landing the first thing she does is open the leaf box and checks on the worm.
"Are you okay?" asked Squirrel. the worm nodded, and leaped out of her box to her head. She felt something more in that nod than a confirmation though, it felt like approval, not of her luck, but of her ingenuity, her work. She lightly smiled. Finally. Someone recognizes me.

I noticed that Serpent doesn't have a trinket so my headcanon is that xe's always on the lookout for a good one, but has a hard time finding anything that matches xyr ideal aesthetic... Perhaps someone xe loves will give xem one someday and it can be special to xem for that!

@Olm I think Breeze really likes the outdoors! One of their favourite activities is just sitting outside and watching everything happen—the Not-Cats working at their chores, the leaves drifting on the wind, the bugs milling about, living their own secret lives. It makes her feel like a part of things.

I’d love to hear someone’s opinion on Captain! Pronouns are she/xe.

Captain is a good hunter. She's patient, quiet (a skill xe also likes to use in jumpscaring her fellow not-cats), and collects some of the larger bounties. But xe won't hurt insects; not even the little ants that keep infesting the village huts. This has led to many an unfortunate situation for the other not-cats (just kill the cockroach already! Please!), but xe refuses to lay paws on them. They're too cute to die! At most, she will catch a butterfly or cricket or some other wandering little thing and show them to the resident beans, who froth with delight at the creatures.

I think thoughts on Soul Cavity would be fun, simply to see what people hc for a not-cat named something as silly as Soul Cavity, haha.

Soul Cavity is an annoying menace to all around him. Like he is genuinely unpleasant to be around. Also probably is ace...
