I went through the suggestions and couldn’t find anyone who had suggested something like this before so forgive me if this has been requested already

This is a future QoL idea for Gather resources!

The concept is that you can assign your not cat a backup job for when/if they don’t have the resources to perform the normally assigned job. When this happens, the page will give you the message “name has no resources for job. Perform back up?” And you you can simply press the button, without having to unassign and reassign a new job for the notcat.

The cats job would be listed as their normal or primary, possibly with their backup/secondary listed separately.

This would primarily benefit newer players who have jobs that require resources unlocked, but not quite enough cats to continually perform them. (I don’t know if more established players run into this problem as often, as I’m not one yet, aha). If the player doesn’t have any trouble getting resources and never reassigns their cats, they would not need to use the system and it would not impact their gameplay.

Since this is a QoL that would effect a fully functioning and working game mechanic, I imagine it as a future suggestion, for when there’s time to implement that sort of thing. Everything works fine as is now, this would just make it a bit more convenient, not having to click a few extra pages.

Support. I think you can call me an established player, I have a full village, and I still run into this issue, especially with my Apothecary and Clothier, though sometimes others. I have notes for what jobs to swap to when I need a particular material, but having the option to lean on that backup without going through the full job change process would be helpful.

Support! Eliminating the time needed to change jobs when you run out of something would be great!

Support! I'm doing okay on supplies these days, but this would definitely have saved some time when getting ahold of certain materials was trickier. If nothing else it's definitely friendlier for the newbies!

huge support! i often forget what alt job i have set up for any given cat, and so sometimes my job allocation gets majorly screwed up. i think this'd help with that!
