hello, hello! we like playing around with HTML and CSS, so we figured that we pour a little of that enthusiasm into making something for this site, since it's been only two weeks, and we're already hopelessly hooked.

we do not have a lot of PCE experience, so if you have any suggestions as to what include in a code, you are more than welcome to send them here!

our codes are completely free to use, although we ask that you don't copy them or remove the credit. even if it doesn't seem so at the first glance, it really is hard work and we ask you to not disrespect it. though you are free to modify them, obviously, and frankenstein them with other codes — you can then turn the credit into something in the vein of "part of the code — nineinchnails"

legend:

mobile compatibility — whether the code will be broken on mobile or not. there are two options: yes (compatible) and no (not compatible)
length — how much space the code takes up and how much information can be put into it. there are three options: short, medium and long.
difficulty — how much knowledge of formatting is preffered to navigate the code smoothly. there are four levels: easy, medium, difficult and hard. the explanation for as to why we picked the levels will be provided.

quail's personal advice:
there seems to be a hierarchy of sorts when it comes to text formatting. it goes so like this, from first to last:

bold / italic / underline / strikethrough > font > size > color

which means that a code for a span with changed font, color and text decoration will look something like this:

personally, this is the only way this specific formatting worked for us, but we will keep you all updated!

the code is messy, having sadly traded wider accessibility to beginners for ensuring that it won't break on any device. we recommend writing any information about your not-cat down and directly pasting it into the code, so that you don't have to spend much time editing it and getting lost.
