tl;dr: I'd like to remove a rivalry between a village cat and a city cat. Not sure how or if I can do that.
So cats that are sent to the city are, as per the warning pop-up, removed from the game. I sent a cat to the city because a) I wanted to poke the unused feature, b) I felt weird about having made their first relationship a rivalry, figured the in-universe explanation would be that he didn't really vibe with my village so he went back home, the relationship would be gone, no problem, no lingering effects.
Thing is, he still has a profile (which is neat, if a little surprising) and the relationship still exists. So now it just feels like the rivalry is strong enough to keep burning within them even if they rarely see each other, which is just weird to me. Is there a way to remove the rivalry so all my not-kitties can move on with their lives, or am I gonna have to make up some in-universe nonsense to justify this?

@Glys There's an item! The Letter of New Beginnings. I'm not sure if it'll work on cats in Gardenhome, but I assume you can use it on your active kitty. When sent to the city, cats are removed from living in villages, but they still get a little story about their new life, and the Gardenhome banner on their profile. I don't think you'll be able to access their page unless you remember the link/url once they have no relationships, but if you get the Letter to work they will essentially be gone
In the future, I recommend using a Letter (crafted from the Scribe occupation or you can purchase one/trade for it) to clear relationships because it resets two not-cats' relationship to acquaintances

@Willow I do think it's very neat that they get a little story... hm, this is making me wonder if I should keep the relationship after all, just to maintain a connection. Much to ponder, but good to know there's an easier option if it comes up again! Thank you!
@Glys Mhm! I made sure to mention that because I know people don't realize what sending a cat to the city entails sometimes and that if you wanted to clear the relationship(s) but still have access to that page you'd need to save/remember the link or the not-cat's ID to do so
