a frontier harbor at the cusp of nestor's wood, headed by the northwind argos, a not-cat who is driven by the boldness bordering on madness that leads one to new worlds.

the not-cats of ruinhearth are focused on the goal of their own labor broadening the territory of the not-cats who came home, of reasserting their place in the old world, but want none of the comfort themselves. they find roads for their kin, ship wood and goods south to gardenhome, and are glad of that alone being their knowing of the city folk.

ruinhearth cats, atleast those who sought the frontier, know they are not meant for such a life. they are grizzled wildfolk who shun it for they know they would cause more trouble for their kin, not because they believe their kin soft. only the mad seek this life, and they know it.
