Village Profile
It's been a long walk, the weight of each step sinking into the earth as though it intends to swallow you. It would almost be a relief after all this travel, but you know you're nearly there. With the scent of warmth on the wind, you know you're nearing your destination. It's with the rise of the sun and the waking of the birds that you walk the final descent into a valley sparsely populated by small, wooden buildings.

The Village is quiet, but not somber. A hint of intimate conversation carries on the wind, someone is playing music, someone else laughs uproariously and--as with all the other sounds in the village--it is caught and cradled by the mountains, swallowed by leaves and passed among roots. This forest thrives on the lives of these cats and holds them close, safe and hidden in this temperate valley. As you wander toward the village square you spot a number of different not-cats of all shapes and sizes. Some eye you warily, but most welcome you with open expressions, at peace with your sudden appearance. You could make a home here, if you were so inclined. You may even be allowed to do so without any consultation; this village does not appear to have a mayor to guide them. You would like to get to know any potential neighbors, though. It's only polite.
