You tilt your head from side to side, collecting your thoughts while checking this new not-cat's vibes:
The not-cat in front of you seems to be of an average build. They seem of average health.
They come off a bit cold and aggressive. This not-cat fears nothing, not even themselves.
This not-cat seems like a bit of a troublemaker.
Veronica, a born troublemaker with a furious passion for mining, is a somewhat standoffish not-cat who doesn’t temper their aggression with anyone but the not-cats close to them—who are few and far between. While she claims to have taken an affection to mining because of the work itself, some theorize it’s just the only job she can take that keeps her out of the rain without being “boring.” Their arrival to Flickertown was marked by a rocky encounter with Dunes, who would eventually become their found sibling and closest companion in town. It was much like a not-cat seeing their reflection for the first time, sensing something wrong. Veronica, with her rebellious temperament, didn’t hesitate to lash out, but Dune took it in stride.
Their tussles lasted until one summer day, when suddenly Veronica wouldn’t leave his side. They both claim, when asked, that the sudden end to the conflict was because Veronica realized their birthdays were close; the rest of that day’s conversation was, unfortunately for any gossip-lovers, kept close to them and them alone. While Veronica isn’t particularly close to any of Dunes’ friends, she’s been seen tolerating them more and more, even feeling comfortable enough to rope some of them in on her troublemaking (much to Dunes’ fond annoyance).
