when psyche heard of nestor, she dismissed the rumors as just that — rumors. was it really so hard to believe that a giant magical moose did not exist? and so psyche lived as an alley cat, although she knew that she was not one. the other cats she shared an alley with hissed and yowled at her, in a language that she didn’t understand. the day that she met kira was the day that she began to believe the stories of nestor.
kira was a not-cat. just like psyche. they spoke in the same language of chirps. this was enough for them to cautiously ally. some time later, they collected enough not-cats to approach nestor. and upon that day, when the five other not-cats psyche had collected passed through the portal, psyche found the perfect clearing in the woods to establish her very own village. most not-cats held no interest in staying, but some … some odd not-cats, some with … odd abilities, they stayed on …
