Lynx was always the leader of their little group, the most adventurous. They were the one to convince the other not cats to follow them through Nestor's Portal, and to Not Earth, craving the adventure the new world would bring. The six of them could have gone to Gardenhome, a safe city, but Lynx convinced the others of reconsidering. Sure, Gardenhome was large, and safe, and not unlike their previous city home, but there were less opportunities, to do as they pleased. Wouldn't they rather strike out on their own, and create their own settlement?

Lynx was successful in convincing their group to strike out on their own, into the wilds of Nestor's Woods. Things were difficult at first. There were very few occupations open to the cats, and well, there still aren't many.
