A quiet but determined not-cat who watches over those in her charge from afar. She is clumsy with interpersonal relationships, but the other not-cats in the Clan trust her decision-making skills. She can appear solemn or melancholy, zoning out while looking at the sky or some creature she's interested in, but she's mostly low-energy and nervous. While she can take some time to warm up to new members of the village, she tends to quietly show signs of her acceptance of them over time, leaving them food or gifts of appreciation for their work in the village.
She is surprisingly good with not-kittens, enjoying the time spent watching over them and training them to become full members of the Clan. Because of this, when Nestor asks her Clan's members whether they could take in a not-kitten, she is always the one to volunteer to take care of them. While she is their primary caretaker, the rest of the village pitches in to make sure that they get all sorts of experiences.
There is a belief that Cranestar was chosen by Nestor to lead, closer to him, inherit the sleeping magic in the earth, power sleeping within her. She always wears the runestone around her neck as both a comfort and a sign of her destiny. > Rookflight was the first kit that Cranestar adopted when Nestor brought her to their village. The two are close and enjoy taking time to nap in the fields under the sunlight together.

> Wrensong was the second kit that Cranestar adopted. With a personality similar to hers, the two of them are always up to investigate any mysterious happenings within the village and surrounding forest.

> Puffinmask was the third kit that Cranestar adopted. While a bit younger than her adopted older siblings, Puffinmask enjoys spending time with her family and planning drawing activities together, and Cranestar encourages it.

> Swanfire was the fourth kit that Cranestar adopted. While they are not the same wind, they bonded over how to blend in with their light-colored pelts. Swanfire's unexpectedly fiery temper and great deal of energy as a kit sometimes left Cranestar flustered, but cats like Owlfrost sometimes stepped in to take her with them to their job for the day.

Kitewhisper votes to name the fish species after flowers, and Rookflight says they should name the fish after their neighbors."

Larkfur and Puffinmask decide not to worry about Cranestar, and to no surprise Cranestar does eventually come back later that night with a new thing they found."
