"Hello Not-PenPal Club! My name is Barley, I'm the administrative assistant of Brightstone's current Mayor, Vegas! Xe has asked me to send in a flyer saying we are open for Penpal correspondence, and to introduce an advice column we have running in our newspaper, the Brightstone Rambler. Read on to find out more!"


Barley's Penpals of the Week
"While any of Brightstone's denizens would be happy to get a letter from you, I've chosen to highlight a few of our residents each week. If you're overwhelmed by our village roster list and don't know who to choose, start here!"



Rhubarb is the principal of Brightstone's own Hydrangea Academy! Despite not having many friends in the village yet, she's incredibly sweet and patient. Rhubarb would like me to tell you all she likes knitting, the Gardenhome Orchestra, and warm cups of tea.


Babycakes is our village's head doctor. They're a very busy cat, so don't be surprised if you recieve a return letter from their nurse Mango instead. Once you get past the prickly exterior, they have a heart of gold! (They also quite like plushies, if you feel inclined to send a bribe to speed things along)


For any kittens participating, the twins Sleet and Snowflake would be happy to hear from you! They've been constantly nagging the adults about what life is like outside the village since our head Librarian held a class on it. They're both rather mischievous, so don't be surprised if your letter comes with a bug friend or two!


Finally, for any clan cats writing, or cats interested in clan life, we have Dusksong! Ae can be a bit of a pawful, with aer very strong opinions and tendency to still refer to things with clan terminology. But ae is a very good teacher, and would love to talk about clan customs with anyone interested in the subject!


Sage Advice with Afflon

"Well, howdy! My name is Afflon, and I'm Brightstone's senior fisher and newspaper advice columnist. While there are plenty of small problems to solve in our little village, they're able to be resolved amongst the folks involved pretty easily. So I got to thinkin' maybe it was time to spread my wings and help not-cats from other parts of the Woods. I'll be runnin' my column once or twice a week, so if you have a question, or just need a kind pair of ears to hear ya out, feel free to write in."
