I know some people look for specific cats that look like their irls or fancats, etc. but I mean the cats that are specifically sought after on PCE as "rares" like albinos, voids, minks, the like.

I think voids are definitely the hardest because you've got five if not six genes to select for: the solid pattern, the no whitespotting, the maximum 4 color density, the full color strength, the black color group, and sometimes the wind because black watercolors typically aren't considered voids.

I guess the one other very very hard to breed cat would be the goldbino, because you need an albino to start with and an inverse white cat and both of those are rare/expensive/both.

imo voids aren't really that hard to breed, bc all u need are cats that carry the black, solid, and no white genes which there's a lot of and are often floor price cats. this is why void value went down overtime, now they're worth like 1k. i feel like ppl want them more for the aesthetic purpose rather than value

albinos are probably the hardest to breed, bc with any other combination of cats you just need carriers and like i said often you can find them at floor price, but in order to breed an ablino you need to have an albino or carrier, which are in themselves expensive and rare to get from nestor and cards. i do agree that goldbino is one the hardest bc of the combination of inverse, the rarest white marking, and albino, which is rare in itself. tho once you get even just one albino breeding more becomes easier

i think maybe the hardest cat to breed would be a combination of all the ressesive (and other rare) traits. so like a longhair null dilute solid/colourpoint goldbino

Voids aren't too bad if you pick the right parents. There's plenty of density four non-dilute carry no-white-showing cats out there to narrow your odds down.

An inverse albino is definitely the hardest because for the best chance you want a high enough inverse cat which is rare to get from Business Cards to keep your range as small as possible. Then you need an albino as the partner, which is also hard to get. Classic albinos are getting more common at least, so it's becoming less of an issue.

Outside of those two, definitely some sort of solid beige cat or null point.

Voids are still pretty valuable, the cheapest black solid not-cat on the crb is 20k notes.
But the rarest cat would probably be a null point goldbino like jellyjam and nae said.

Void really is just sought after and not that hard to get. Me personally had gotten a few close shots and plenty of my hidden solids/carry black no white solids can make voids in the bean box.

Per-say the rarest cat would probably be a hidden dilute black 1 colorpoint+I10 goldbino+LH+carrier of some specific growth gene that makes it rarer?+null wind

longhair silver or beige colorpoint goldbino, probably, but for visible pattern only i’d say longhair i9 (heart) silver or beige colorpoint.

Hardest not-cat I could think of to breed would be a null colourpoint with high inverse

As a albino enthusiast Albinos-

Mostly when going for multiple eye colors, my original albino has red/purple gene, his kids have a mix of purple/red eyes, his grandchild has green eyes yet mostly produces red eyes, and sometimes you’ll forget to use the reveal family tree and you’ll end up with more ginger cats! And eventually when you get to albino/albino pairs you are gambling for the eye color you want
