I scanned the first few pages of Dev Corner and didn’t see this suggested, so forgive me if this is a repeat!
A lot of the time I find myself running out of ingredients for specific luncheon options when I’m trying to give boosts to the same jobs and adventuring stats multiple days in a row, and it can be kind of frustrating when I need just one more broccoli and my farmers decide to grow everything except broccoli for 3 days straight. Plus with a full village the ingredient costs can get pretty high!
I think it would be neat to have a specialty role that decreases luncheon ingredient costs by a certain percentage, similar to how the merchant role decreases the cost of out of season shop items. I think a chef or cook role would make a lot of sense for this purpose, and they could use their perception stat (or perhaps finesse?) to decrease the ingredient cost by, say, 5%, 10%, or 15% depending on how high the stat is. Not a huge discount but enough to make a difference in the long term.
As for the requirements for unlocking the role, I think that crafting a kitchen or mess hall building would make sense, plus it would also be a nice indoor space to place bakers in scenes.
