hello! i fiddled around with your cat on my own sheet and heres what ive learned:
Buthomar has
YY0C as his white gene sequence! you were getting albinos because cat 43107 has hidden albino!
basically, your cat does have his white pattern showing (from the YY for white and white recessive) but since he has zero as his white value he is showing as NN??
cat 43107 has the white gene sequence of
NN10?, and when you predict the kittens for the pair, you get YN?? as your potential kitten, where the number can be anything from 0 to 10
so for putting the values into the sheet: 0 white possibility asks you to take a (rough) percentage of the amount of potential kittens you see with NO white spots. in your cats case, it works out to
9% with no white spots and that gives us an output of
white - yes, white recessive - yes
then you figure out the cat's white type FIRST and white marks SECOND. depending on the cat it will be easier to figure out the white marks number by either testing 'against' a cat with 10 or 0. figuring out the white type first allows the sheet to give u a handy chart with both the white chart of the reference cat you're using and your own cat.
in your case, Buthomar has the
classic white pattern, aka
YY?C (which is handy because you only have to look at one chart :3)
last, we move on to the white marks. since we know that Buthomar has YY as his white pattern, but no white marks showing, we can tell that his number will be zero. but if you wanted to double check, you can test him against the cat with zero white (aka
"white marks - none"). when we check the potential kittens of Buthomar and the white marks - none cat, you will not get ANY kittens with white. that confirms that Buthomar's full white gene sequence is
YY0C!
