Cockatrice!

It is said, that they originally emerged from avian eggs hatched by reptiles.
Showing traits of half bird, half reptile,
resembling dragons because of it.

They serve well as guards, as they are very protective of their nests and family.



Once you receive an egg, you get to hatch the egg yourself,
so that the cockatrice imprints on you and your village as its family and home to protect.


Rules/Information:
-Every user can only get 1 egg every batch
-Please only display/use cockatrice that you own or have permission to use
-You are free to use your cockatrice however you like!
-If you want your cockatrice uploaded to Toyhouse, you can credit MWINS on toyhouse
-You can freely trade/gift/resell your cockatrice
-Please be able to send payment in the span of 24h! You will be reminded after 12h after first claim/comment. Egg will be set back up for claim after the 24h have passed

Our villages first cockatrice

We have just built our first barn and assigned some members to catch and take care of our first chickens!
Feed them seeds, fill up their water bowls, clean up their nests and be rewarded with daily eggs!
It was nice and easy to remember the routine.
But one morning, the barn was left open and when our flockherd entered the barn, they found a big green snake seeking warmth under a our terrified brown hen, who sat there in shock with a snake huddled next to her.
Maybe the snake just ate and looked for a comfortable place to sleep?
Thankfully, the flockherd was able to silently and gently remove the snake and placed it outside, away from the barn.
Luckily, none of the chickens or villagers were hurt.

Days after, when the chicken eggs started to hatch, one chick stood out from the rest of the flock.
A yellow ball of fluff showed signs of a scaly but still squishy and soft snake tail.
Its wings had a membrane instead of feathers, similar to bats.
It looked odd, but the village still decided to raise it like the rest.
As much as it ate seeds with the other chicks, it started to also eat small fish and meat that it started catching itself.
So it grew, grew bigger than its siblings and resembled a small chicken dragon!
It has grown very protective of its village and its villagers and is now part of our guard and family!

With out first cockatrice, our scouts seem to have encountered more cockatrice eggs on their duties.
Unlike normal bird eggs, cockatrice eggs are slightly longer and heavier than their original bird eggs.
But also slightly squishier?
Our mayor tasked themself with examining and studying cockatrice to aid other villages and not-cats in the future.
