Since the cat is named Peach I'll give a peach themed fun fact! The peach is actually closely related to the almond and as such the stone of a peach tastes quite similar to almonds. In fact, ground peach seeds can be used in place of almonds to produce a product very similar to marzipan. It's called "persipan" and is generally a cheaper alternative with a slightly different taste. :)

not-cat fun fact but banana 'trees' and palm 'trees' are not traditional trees and not related closely enough to be true trees! they're in their own taxonomies. i learned this not long ago despite living on the coast!!

also a surgeon will often only see one or two people in their whole career who were born without their gallbladder. if you think about it, that's a lot of people!

fun village fact: Nestor gave me three red cats in a row, each from a different wind. It was a little strange and I imagine the three of them all knew each other before coming to not-earth; maybe they're cousins or something

unrelated fun fact: the only two species of bee that live above the arctic circle are both bumblebees! bumblebees can survive colder temperatures than other bee species, both because of their fuzz as well as their ability to shiver, which is extremely rare among insects.

fun fact: the last known living mammoths were from an island called "wrangle island". they all died out at around 3,700 - 4,000 years ago. that wasn't that long ago!!! humans already had established civilizations, writing, and language! this was around the time egypt and mesopotamia were flourishing as societies.
