hi! i'm a relatively new player, i got a lil bean from nestor today and unfortunately i don't have any couples or kittymint tea(?) or any other beans to be their littermate. i went to the kitty exchange(?) and i saw that you can't adopt beans from there either. is there any way to give him a less lonely childhood?

Looks like you have about 10 days to see if you can get him a companion. That's something at least. Unfortunately you probably just have to either hope you can get a bean conceived and birthed before then or get lucky and have nestor give you another bean before the time is up.

I've had both good and bad luck with nestor beans. I've gotten 3, one grew up as a lonely kitten and the other two I got back to back from nestor so they were able to be littermates.

Keep your fingers crossed, you might be able to find them a littermate yet.

I think this should be in the "Questions and Answers" forum but since I am not a helper/mod I can't move it and I'm too scared to ping the helpers if I misunderstood it. BUT, I saw in the bio that he does have a parent, I'm not an expert at beans myself since I have never gotten any beans from nestor/birth(my cat's genetics is not what I expected to be). But I would love to give you a Love Letter Collection so that you can get partners and adopt the bean since I have one in my inventory if you wanted to! If you don't that's okay! c:

you're right, maybe nestor will give them a littermate before they grow up! plenty of opportunities for that to happen still

aww, thank you for the kind offer!! from what i know it's a fairly rare item and i hope you find a kitty pair that you want to use it for, i don't think the stat penalty will matter very much anyways so

Hi @saulot! I'm gonna nudge this over to Help & Q/A since your thread is worded like a technical question and people are answering it as such

The penalty for being a lonely kitten is small, giving -1 Bravery and Extroversion once they grow up into a Young Kitten. This won't be particularly noticeable unless your kitten is already low on the Bravery and Extroversion scale; for example, if they turn out Adventurous, you likely wouldn't notice it!

You have two options: have a litter of beans and adopt your lonely bean into it (they don't have to have the same parents) or hope that Nestor gives you another bean that could become their adoptive littermate!

As a fun fact, every Young Kitten and Kitten from Nestor is generated with the lonely kitten penalty already, as the adoptive littermate option is only available to beans.

Good luck with your bean! Whether or not they end up getting a littermate, I'm sure they will end up with lots of love from the other village members
