So, you guys may have noticed a series of a couple ads at the bottom of the screen from me lately -- the ones featuring Tippy and say stuff like "Happy Orbvember"? Well, I've decided that I wanna put up a new cute cat ad every month, give or take a few days for uploading and stuff.

The way the Catlendar works is we take something cute that cats do -- i.e., orbing -- and mash it with a month of the year -- i.e. November -- to get a month dedicated to that thing, like Orbvember!

For example:


This thread will act as an overview and guide/compilation of all the Catlendar images, upcoming months, etc etc!

January: Jumpuary
A month dedicated to all the jumping cats like to do, from reaching places to just playing around or pouncing or getting as high up in the sky as they can!

A month for blepping, licking, rasping, grooming, eating, and other tongue-based shenanigans cats get into!

March: Mrrawrrch
Cats have mouths, and for many of them, that means they must scream! Here's a month for all the chit-chatters and loudmouth kitties out there!

April: A-Purrr-ril
Snugglebugs unite! This is a month for all kitties who love to knead, purr, headbutt, or just stare at others from across the room at a respectful distance!

From the forbidden land known as "Behind The Fridge" to the mysterious new Thing that appeared in the toy box, this is a month for the shenanigans that brave cats get into when discovering the world around them!

Pride month! This month goes out to all kitties who are gay (and/or trans and/or bi and/or lesbian and/or...) and proud! This is also a month for any cats who don't fit the "standard mold", from hairless-or-dactyl to one-eyed-or-three-legged to everything else. Odd-furballs rise up!

Unfortunately, both of my family's cats (Tippy and Pepper) have passed on and our dog Orion doesn't do super well with other animals, so I don't have a cat to snap new pics of for each ad. I'm currently working with what I have of Tippy and Pepper, but I definitely don't have enough pics to cover every month on the calendar.

If you have a pic of your cat that you're okay with being edited into an ad in the style of the above and displayed on site, please let me know!

Just please keep in mind that the adspace is limited to 200px tall x 900px wide, and I'm gonna try to keep some of the background in so I can put the text-boxes in without covering up too much of the cat.

I'm paying for the ad-space totally out-of-my-own-pocket. I just need more cute kitties to feature, so I thought I'd open the opportunity up! There might even be some essence fragments in it for you as thanks for letting me use your kitty pic...no promises yet, though!

In order to get your kitty added to the Catlendar, submit an image on this thread (just a cat pic or a pic already edited into Catlendar format) with your express permission for me to use it for Catlendar purposes, as well as your preferences for where to link it to. I won't use images without stated permission! You and your kitty will be credited on the ad itself as well as here on the thread, unless you say you want otherwise. Now that I have a thread for the Catlendar, the default will be for the ad to be linked back to this thread, but we can work out the details on a case-by-case basis -- I'm perfectly fine with linking the ad to your userpage, one of your cats' pages, my userpage, or even not linking it! I just need to know first.

In addition, I'd currently like to implement a soft limit of 2 cat appearances in a year: i.e., a specific cat appearing a maximum of two CATlendar images each year. This is just to make sure we have room for all the pretty kitties out there! This may be relaxed in the future and we can talk about specifics.

Hi! So I have a picture of my absolute favourite kitty! He is a shelter baby and if I could adopt I would anyway I took the photo my self his name is Salvador and he has three legs but is the most zoomy hyper cat I know, I think he could fit in the voidtober or clawsgust since his toe beans are showing

Ohhhhhh yes! Sorry about your kitties, but I have this rainbow snake toy thing and a cat. Last June I used it as a pride scarf, so I can definitely arrange a photo shoot some time!

I feel like Milo (my cat) would also fit for April, May, or September. Maybe I’ll just get a few pictures of him and post ‘em here, and then we can discuss what might fit what month?
