@Scream I’ve mentioned here he must go to the ethereal plane for some things, I also think his morning walk goes to the bottom of the Crescent Lake. He’s found lakeweed and crayfish on his walks before.

that is fair, but i’d also like to know who simply dumps wooden planks into a lake (as well as nestor-exclusive items such as the glitter and crystals.

@Scream my theory is Nestor Exclusives come from some magical-moose place that only he can access or that is otherwise hard to get to. Maybe he just fashions them from stardust (“Here, I made this for you”) or has an underground lair. Not-cats have theorized about him being bitten by a radioactive spider, who’s to say he doesn’t have a Moosecave?
And maybe there’s a warehouse or lumber yard
Does Nestor spend dawn raiding construction sites or something?

@Willow aww. the thought of nestor making us little crystals and things (and things that would be very difficult to create, like sand) is just really sweet.

also the thought of not-cats being told not to leave construction tools or materials out, and to put them away, or else nestor will steal them and redistribute them.

I feel like that’s accurate of his personality though. They’re half ‘Welcome to the forest,little one. I took special care in making you this gift.’ And half silly sneaky bandit that gives out gifts in the form of both ‘steal from construction site hehe sneaky’ and ‘Aaaa, help! Small child climbing on antlers like tree branches!!’
(Because that’s how he always explains kittens)

@Willow i can definitely imagine the not-cats all loving nestor, but also warning their little ones to not leave things out (and of course adult not-cats) because nestor might just swipe the items. it’s a very silly hc but i can see it happen, don’t think nestor is actually as solemn as they seem.

like, not-cats would come back to their village holding the most random items. look!! nestor said he made me glitter — and i’m going to wear it!!

@thesillyseal I mean, Cindertail said he gave them his heart and said he didn’t need it. I feel like he’s the kind of moose that just does whatever he wants and the not-cats are like “ooookay then, we’ll adjust accordingly. Thanks buddy”

He made me a flower crown yesterday and then he gave me skulls today. Which he made. I have questions and I am getting mixed signals.
Maybe he’s grumpy because snowmelt ended?
