Lore rework timeee!
Hello! I'm Minipug, but I also go by Cornsnake_enthusiast or Jellyboi on other sites! I love to lore dump as you can probably see, and spend a ton of time thinking of cool lore ideas! This was originally going to be more of a quaint little fishing village, but I got really into Scandinavian folklore and decided to go with something darker.
Welcome to Whitewater Hamlet
You step away from the sign, flinching at the sudden squeal of the rusted hinges. This place hasn't been maintained in a long time. You tread deeper into the village, moving carefully. The entire area is a wreck, and you are forced to watch for any creatures that might be lurking...
But the sun is setting. You press on, trying to ignore how the trees almost turn to face you as you go by. It's only your imagination. Trees don't move. As you walk deeper into the village, you spot what must be the remains of a town hall. Feeling a sudden curiosity, you enter. A strange statue sits on the table, looking oddly like Nestor. You almost feel comforted. As you begin to turn away, you hear a slight creak. You don't want to look back.
It takes almost too long to leave the village. It's dark. Very dark. The trees seem to be closer together than they used to be. You run.
