There's a lot of hustle and bustle going on here at the lakefront. A few ramshackle buidlings are going up here, and it looks like Longtail Beach has recently relocated. The village Fishers do most of their work here along the shoreline, though sometimes they may switch to fishing in the river every so often.

The Gatherers are also based here - while they may roam a fair distance to collect things, this is where everything is brought back for sorting and redistribution.

The lakefront is important to all the others in the village as well. The cats of Longtail Beach are all united in one thing: The want to live by the Turquoise Sea. Unfortunately, as Nestor has deemed it too dangerous to reach right now, Longtail Beach is making-do with Crescent Lake. Many cats will come down to the shoreline and gaze out across the grey water, wondering what it might be like to be staring into sapphire seawater instead.

There are hopes that Longtail Beach can make contact with with the mysterious creatures rumoured to live in Cresent Lake - the mer-cats. While some think mer-cats are make-believe, most of Longtail Beach are convinced that if they can just talk to some of them to learn how best to survive in watery regions, they will be much better equipped to make their home by the Turquoise Sea.

For now, Longtail Beach are sticking near the Saltshaker in order to more easily go ask Nestor if they can go to the Sea yet, and to make it easier to go on trips to the Heart of the Woods. Longtail Beach shifts up and down the lakefront a little as whims decree, but mostly they're staying in the same general area. There are plans to move into the Frog Chorus Wetlands once that opens up, in order for everyone to get very good at being around a lot more water.
