Despite what his name and occupation
may suggest, Blade had always been on
the gentle side. He more so happened
upon his job than work toward it, but
he enjoyed his duties as he grew into
his guarding role over time.

He never had the honor of guarding
Elijah, the Prince himself—his rank
remained too low for such an important
task—but he enjoyed watching the royal
cat from afar. However, as the Prince
one night did not return from a stroll,
Blade was part of the search team. He
did not find Elijah, at first, but a strange
portal—and, despite his fears trying to
devour him, he entered it.

In a world now that was quite similar,
yet not, Blade continued his search and
despite his own doubts, eventually he
came across a village of cats and among
them was the Prince, living as a commoner.
It was a most unusual situation, but Blade
adjusted, staying around Elijah and the
two got to know each other on a personal,
casual level, which bonded them quite
tightly over time.
