You would never guess that the odds of rain during the summer are way lower than in the other seasons. The RNG of this happening is SO low.

my primary team is all rangers too, so we have been MEGA struggling, especially since ive been trying t train up cats for ef grinding purposes... super doesnt help that the day before The Big Storm was charted to be sunny but ended up raining anyway... lain low by the weather spirits once again
on the bright side, it IS really really funny narratively at least. i decided now would be a great time to switch in my fighter-focused team for a test run, and they have all been kinda tripping over everything in the funniest possible way. inconvenient, sure, but they all have Much Higher Stats than my base team technically and yet take 2-3 turns to smack a leaf mite
its certainly engaging, ill tell you that much. at least we've got a use for this snack backlog now.

My wish this PCE Summer was for better weather to adventure more... RNG can be a thorny little devil.

At least summer 15th and 16th should just be partly cloudy weather forecast, don't fail us now

I do adventure during bad weather, but I have nearly 4,000 bolts (way too many for me to ever run out of). It's never really occurred to me not to, either, same with outdoor jobs.

Yes! Same here. I actually can't get behind fighter-only parties very much. I don't know what the recommended 'meta' for HOTW is, but I am running two rangers with double shot (first ranger has Call to Action just in case, both run Bite for backup) and two unleveled cats (I usually set one as a scout). My melee cats just don't do as good as my ranged ones. Maybe because they need 3 good stats instead of only 2 - initiative, movement speed, AND strength instead of only initiative and ranged since rangers don't need to move much I also find that having more dice with Double Shot beats Bite any day because each successful dice does so much at level 4. I'd love to hear from people who use fighters only.

I'm pretty sure all-rangers is the meta. I used to run largely-fighters. Some bad-weather days were actually easier on me then, like windy days, because my melee attacks didn't suffer. But since I trained my first ranger, I've seen how objectively better they are than fighters. Their only downside is that the weather reduces their dice so much.

Back on topic, though, this weather really is awful. Before, I'd been on a roll with training and was even working through my permanent cats to train for backpacks, which is a rarity. Now I've accumulated a backlog of cats I don't plan to keep, which I always train for backpacks before sending away. My village is now completely filled, which I Do Not Like. (I only have a few slots to spare for new cats at the best of times anyway.)

I solely use fighters (and a scout for the boosted rolls and initiative). I just don't like using items when I don't absolutely have to, and this includes bolts and bandages. I would say it probably takes me longer than those who use rangers (around 30-40 minutes per run), but my cats have enough movement tiles at this point that it's not a mess of having to chase the enemy around the map for ages anymore. (I think there was also a coding change involved in this, stopping the enemies from running away as much.) I have few issues beating any enemy unless everyone's catastrophically missing. But I also very much don't have the energy to adventure every day, so I only do it now and then, and tend to avoid bad-weather days because I can't be bothered to deal with the debuffs.
