Kitchen Wars History

WI 40, Y6 - With Seedberry bringing crates upon crates of snowpeas into the clan to supply the bakers with their favorite winter vegetable for luncheons, Sage decides to very visibly protest by carrying stacks upon stacks of snowmeowtoes atop his head to the chefs to ensure that his favorite winter vegetable is proudly represented in clan meals. The two farmers get into an arguing and wrestling match over the best winter vegetable that ends with the formal establishment of the winter Kitchen Wars.

• WI 01, Y7 - The winter Kitchen Wars reignite, and Sage^T decides to expand his influence. He shall recruit others to his cause. He sets up a spot next to the kitchen under a large, gnarled tree that he uses to display and offer samples of a variety of snowmeowto dishes to other cats.
  
  
• WI 03, Y7 - Flamerise joins Sage^T and the snowmeowtoes. Seedberry^P, seeing that Sage^T has enticed another cat to join him, quickly sets up their own dishes alongside his. Cats begin to refer to the location as "Taste Testing Wars".
  
  
• WI 07, Y7 - Cottontail joins Seedberry^P and the snowpeas. Seedberry^P revels in the expansion of their own side of the fight; this has officially become a war between armies.
  
  
• WI 11, Y7 - Flamerise^T notices the snowpea cats spending quite a bit of extra time preparing their meals in the kitchen that morning. He conducts an espionage mission into this, discovering that Team Snowpea seems to be adding dried catmint seasoning onto their dishes when the bakers aren't looking in attempt to sway cats to their side. Team Snowmeowto plots counter tactics.
  
  
• WI 12, Y7 - Team Snowpea petitions the clan's artists for a mural dedicated to snowpeas beneath the Taste Testing Wars tree. Aspenbow, bringing along Timberkit, decides to make a large mural dedicated to both vegetables, giving some color to the entire display. Both snowpea cats begrudgingly accept this outcome, as the mural is very pretty.
  
  
• WI 17, Y7 - Sage^T stages a Team Snowmeowto mission in which the two cats hide the kitchen's usual crates of snowpeas by surrounding them entirely underneath empty crates, making it appear as if the clan is out of them entirely. Snowmeowto-based dishes become the star feature of the day's meals.
  
  
• WI 18, Y7 - Both teams unsuccessfully try to sway the bakers to their side. All clan bakers lightheartedly oppose any mergers and declare themselves neutral Meal Mediators. Both teams take this new title very seriously.
  
  
• WI 35, Y7 - Flamerise^T concocts a plan to overtake the kitchens and soon the day's Luncheon is replaced with snowmeowto chili, mozzerella & snowmeowto salad, and cheesy bread with snowmeowto dipping sauce. Team Snowpea will remember that.
  
  
• WI 36, Y7 - Team Snowpea is spotted carrying crates of snowmeowtoes in retaliation out of the kitchen and into the craft supply storage. The unaligned farmers sigh, wait until they're through, and cart them all back to the kitchen.
  
  
• WI 49, Y7 - Both teams gather to celebrate the coming of temporary truce in the warmer months by partnering with the clan bakers to prepare a feast showing off the other wonderful flavors of winter- starfruit-glazed roast poultry, salads of wintermint and lakeweed garnished in snowcap mushrooms, spiced snow ant-based seed and nut breads with a spread of winterberry jam... Perhaps they could make a tradition out of this.
  

• WI 02, Y8 - Nestor gifted the clan baskets full of snowpeas, and the kitchen goes wild. The war has sparked anew this winter. Team Snowmeowto delves into a flurry of cooking to offset the smell of fresh, crisp snowpeas wafting through the halls. Cottontail^P and Aloeheart make beautiful crowns out of the prettiest pods.
  
  
• WI 04, Y8 - Nestor gifted more snowpeas today. They have chosen a side. Team Snowmeowto is distraught over the loss of moose father to the enemy.
  
  
• WI 07, Y8 - Team Snowpea gifts Team Snowmeowto a basket full of perfectly ripe starfruit. They cannot help that moose father has superior tastes, but they can try to make the realization sting a little less for Team Snowmeowto.
  
  
• WI 13, Y8 - Flamerise^T sneaks into the food stores and grabs pawfuls upon pawfuls of snowpeas. He wanders the forest for a bit with them, seeking out pigeons, cardinals, and any other bird that he can find in order to give them a "taste" for it and explaining that they're a delicious snack that can be plucked from the clan's gardens. Team Snowpea awakes the next morning to find their patches picked clean. They defend their patches with nets and scarecrows over the next few days, and find themselves lucky that the birds both appear to have a rather short memory of the event and lack of desire to fight a group of cats over snowpeas.
  
  
• WI 30, Y8 - The power balance shifts as Wasabibite heads to the kitchens in the middle of the night and befriends the snowpea cats, who had been cooking late to prepare a wonderful luncheon for the next day. The three cats bond over cooking and Wasabibite takes glee at the thought of "sticking it to those snowmeowtoes" with increasingly elaborate prank ideas brainstormed throughout the night.
  
  
• WI 31, Y8 - Cottontail^P, Seedberry^P, and Wasabibite^P sneak out under the cover of dark and build giant and elaborate snowcats across the village. Little do most cats realize, but each giant snowball surrounded a core of snowmeowtoes- safely out of the reach of the clans' bakers and Team Snowmeowto. It takes everyone a few days to realize that the snowcats were 'meowtoes all along... and another day to collect them all again once they'd discovered where all the snowmeowtoes had suddenly gone.
