allllll right!!! it's me back again with an essay length post today! time to do a bit of an overhaul on my setup for this project, for more targeted breeding to hopefully get things done faster and prevent duplicates!!
also once i figure out which cats i need to keep around in my village i can send the rest travelling in order to hopefully free up some space, since i have a business card to use and no more open slots.....
first up: categorizing the adults by color density!!
color density 1:
color density 2:
color density 3:
color density 4:
this ought to be enough for 7 pairs of partners, but I doubt things will work out that way :P
in addition, i have a ton of solid/solid-carrying kittens and adolescents!
i'm trying not to pre-pair these up too much, but i'm thinking the best way to get a snow solid is with a pair of null-carrying solids, of which vanora and quill are the only 2 i have
anddd other than that, here's the newly reshuffled pairs i have my heart set on at the moment!!
tiny x february: these two have a pretty good chance of producing any color density 3 color! 50% of the time their beans will be dilute and 75% of the time their beans will be orange/cream, so hopefully that gives me a decent chance of getting a cream solid from them.
dapple x licorice: the goal from these two is to get a chocolate solid!! maybe a long haired one if i'm lucky, since i think long haired kitties are cute.
crow x dandelion: the goal here is to get the non-dilute density 1-2 colors! i don't have any density 1 solids yet because density 1 seems to be harder to get, so maybe this'll work out better. idk.
and then finally, for bounce and steph:
i'm not pairing them up, but looking for partners for each of them on the cat recruitment board! for bounce, a red or black cat that carries solid and dilute, and for steph, a tan or almond cat that carries the same. preferably g1 for both. HOPEFULLY i'll be able to nab the right kitties. crossing my fingers.
and yeah, that's it for now!! just needed to take stock of my system and figure out what's working at the moment :-)
