Where the magic happens! Both in the sense of being where the administrative work of the clan gets done, courtesy of Enforcer and Enforcer alone (which everyone else finds deeply disconcerting), and possibly in the sense of dark rituals being performed. Locals speak of strange flashes of light and words in languages they do not understand. Perhaps Enforcer is trying to contact their alternate world counterparts? No one really knows for sure because the area is guarded by giant snakes and other fierce monsters which keep anyone who Enforcer doesn't accept out.
The inside of their fortress, which has only ever been seen by their best friends, is filled with paintings they commissioned from artists all over the woods, which happens to be the main thing Not-Ellendale's resources go to other than the most basic modicum of village maintenance. Despite what the not-cats would expect given Enforcer's narcissistic tendencies, the paintings aren't of themself, but rather, of some sort of freaky snake creature.
